General Objectives
The general objectives of the this 2 year course is for participants to communicate with competence in common everyday contexts.
At the end of the 2 year course, students will need to:
1. communicate clearly and effectively in limited contexts.
2. comprehend and use spoken and written language in limited contexts.
3. comprehend and use specific common vocabulary and essential grammar.
4. communicate appropriately according to the audience.
5. show sensitivity to characteristics of the culture related to the Spanish language.

Throughout the semester, the assessment will be on four major criteria. These are:
Also, we will have several minor assessments throughout the year on listening, speaking, reading comprehension, and writing. Additionally, we will have major assessments at the end of semester 1. These assessments will test the 4 major skillsmentioned above.
